Road Trippin'

"Life's a journey, not a destination." Here's how to navigate the journey part.

I've done a fair share of road-tripping and plan on continuing. As a person who is an "okay" driver, road trips are a ton of fun. They're a great way to cover a lot of ground and see amazing sights in a short period of time. They provide bonding opportunities, lots of storytelling, and testing one's limits to one's road rage.

Road trips take place in a wheeled vehicle of one form or another. Most of my road trip experience has been in cars, which makes for a very different experience than RV or motorcycle road trips. No matter what, something is bound to go wrong, and usually that's the most memorable part of the whole trip. It makes for great stories. However, there are steps you can take to avoid a major catastrophe.

For example, you want to make sure you don't run out of gas in a foreign country.

Then, if you run out of gas, you want to make sure you don't have a flat tire.

Then, if you have a flat tire, you want to make sure you have a spare tire.

Then, if you don't have a spare tire, you want to make sure you speak the same language as the nice man trying to help you figure out what to do in the current situation that most definitely could have been avoided.

So here, my friends, are some tips and tricks I've learned from road tripping. I hope they help as you head off into the sunset to chase those dreams!
